Board President: Beryl Piccolantonio

Ms. Piccolantonio began her formal service to the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education in January 2016. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of and graduated from Ohio Dominican University. Piccolantonio currently serves as the Chief Ombudsperson for Ohio’s workers’ compensation system. She also worked at the Ohio Industrial Commission in a variety of roles, including the Director of Labor Relations and as a hearing officer. Piccolantonio also serves on the Gahanna Civil Service Commission, as a Voting Location Manager for the Franklin County Board of Elections, and as a volunteer mock trial and moot court judge for the Ohio Center for Education. Piccolantonio and her husband Andy have lived in Gahanna since 2001 and have three sons who are students in the Gahanna-Jefferson schools. Her current term concludes Dec. 31, 2019.

vice president Jason Phillips

Vice President: Jason Phillips

Mr. Phillips began his formal service to the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education in January, 2014. He has a Bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science, and a Master’s degree in education, all through the Ohio State University. He has been a social studies educator at Licking Heights High School for more than a decade. He has also coached football and is currently a building technology coordinator. Additionally, Mr. Phillips was the 2012 co-chair of the Gahanna Freedom Festival and is an active member of the Gahanna Jaycees. He and his wife, Stephanie, have one young daughter. Phillips’ current term concludes Dec. 31, 2017.

Matthew Campbell

Matthew Campbell

Mr. Campbell began his formal service to the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education in 2014. He has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. In recent years, while working full-time, he returned to school to acquire additional education in the field of accounting. His time as a soccer coach, youth pastor, and as an active community member increased his passion for the importance of good education. Mr. Campbell and his wife have been Gahanna residents for more than ten years and have four children enrolled in the school district. His current term concludes on Dec. 31, 2017.

 Jennifer Chrysler

Jennifer Chrysler

Ms. Chrysler was appointed to the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education to fill the unexpired, vacated term of Dr. Jill Schuler. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Urban Studies and Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.C.R.P. Master of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University. Professionally, Ms. Chrysler has served as the Community Development Director for New Albany since May 2005. Her work has been instrumental in assisting New Albany with the creation of a comprehensive economic development plan to guide future decisions, a Community Improvement Corporation, a strategic economic development marketing plan and the implementation of cutting-edge business incentive strategies. Chrysler and her husband have three children in the Gahanna-Jefferson School District. Her term concludes Dec. 31, 2017.

Daphne Moehring

Daphne Moehring

Ms. Moehring began her formal service to the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education in January 2016. She has been an active volunteer in the district for the past 12 years, serving as classroom volunteer, PTO president, GJEF grants committee and gala committee member. Ms. Moehring earned a BA in business administration, with a minor in finance, from Capital University. Professionally, she spent 21 years in commercial banking before becoming licensed in insurance.  Currently, Ms. Moehring is associated with John Dawson Associates, an independent insurance agency. Moehring and her husband, Boyd (a 1980 Gahanna grad) are parents of two Gahanna students, having lived here since 1989. Her current term concludes December 31, 2019.
