Jefferson Students to Jump Rope for Kids with “Special Hearts”
Feb. 5-6, 2013, Jefferson ES’ first- through fifth-grade students will become sweethearts by jumping rope to raise awareness about children with “special hearts” while learning how to take care of their own.
Jump Rope For Heart (JRFH) is a national fundraising program sponsored jointly by the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) and the American Heart Association (AHA).
The program promotes physical activity, heart healthy living, and
community service opportunities for children. Proceeds will fund
additional lifesaving research and educational programs.
