GLHS Freshman Band and Orchestra Combined Concert

The Gahanna Lincoln HS Freshman Band and Freshman Orchestra will present a combined free concert, Oct. 9, 2012. The concert is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium.

The Freshman Band, consisting of 75 students, will perform:
  • Nordic Sketches by P. La Plant;
  •  Flying Tigers,  a fun circus march by D. Shaffer; and,
  • Song for Winds by C. Carter.

We are very excited about this year’s freshman band. They have been working hard in anticipation of presenting an energetic concert. — Rob Cebriak, GLHS band director


The students in the Freshman Orchestra, consisting of 31 members, will perform:
  • Scarborough Fair’ arranged by B. Balmages;
  • Triptych for Strings’ by V. Nehlybel; and,
  • Coiled!, a high-energy piece by Don Lipton.
