Gahanna Community School to host  Open House

A Learning Environment Tailored for the Non-traditional High School Student

Gahanna Community School (GCS) officials are inviting the community to come take a peek inside at an Open House April 24, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Opened in fall 2008, GCS is a conversion community school that works in collaboration with the Gahanna-Jefferson School District, sharing the mission that “Students Come First.”

GCS students have full access to all that Lincoln HS has to offer, including: transportation/meal service, numerous academic electives, extracurricular activities, a state-of-the-art library media center and grade-by-grade career guidance.

GCS is designed for any student seeking a smaller, non-traditional school setting that provides a more self-paced structure with flexible scheduling and work study credit. "The GCS focus is to discover what works best for individual students and to create lesson plans that foster each and every child," said GCS President Robin Murdock.

Who are GCS Students?
