The award-winning thespians of the Gahanna Lincoln HS Theatre Department will make its 2012-2013 debut with Father of the Bride, Nov. 8-10, 2012. The curtain rises each night at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium.

GLHS Presents: Father of the Bride

The comedy tells the story of an uptight, beleaguered Mr. Banks who, as the father of the bride, is paying for the wedding. Moreover, amid the chaos of dress selections, invites and reception planning, feels he is losing his daughter to a man he barely knows. Tickets are $10. The production, developed by playwright Caroline Franckle (1899-1960), is based on a popular novel of the same name by Edward Streeter (1891-1976), published in 1949.

Don't Miss the Opening Night Pre-Show Reception
Facebook: Like Us!An “opening night” pre-show reception is scheduled for 6 p.m., featuring beverages and appetizers from Gahanna-area restaurants.

The reception also provides participants with a backstage tour, a post-show audience talk-back, and the opportunity to take pictures with the cast and crew. Sponsored by the P.I.T. (Parents in Theatre) Crew, reception tickets are an additional $5. Tickets are limited, so don’t delay! All proceeds go directly toward easing the individual student cost of the upcoming GLHS Theatre Department’s participation in the prestigious 2013 Edinburgh, Scotland Festival. The students have been invited, again, to Scotland to represent the United States in the 2013 American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF).
