Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation

You’re cordially invited to the 2013 Celebration of Excellence All-Star Gala,  Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, from 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., at the Villa Milano Banquet and Conference Center. The event features an “All Stars” sports theme, so attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite athletic team’s colors. Tickets to the 2012 event promptly sold-out and garnered more than $112,000 toward innovative educational programs.

About the GJEF
The Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation was created as a direct result of the leadership and advice of the Gahanna-Jefferson School Business Advisory Council. A generous contribution of $10,000 from the Gahanna Rotary Club and an additional $5,000 from the Gahanna-Jefferson Area Fund Inc., provided a financial base to further grow the foundation.

Within the first year, GJEF met all state and federal requirements to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit*. Accordingly, it recruited a board of directors composed of local business professionals and civic leaders committed to Promoting Excellence in Our Schools. Since 2002, thanks to their generosity and that of supportive alumni and concerned community members, GJEF has been able to provide more than $1 million in educational funding to support classroom learning.
