2013 Read Across Gahanna Day Mar.1st
G-J elementary schools to celebrate 2013 Read Across Gahanna Day
District officials and community members will come together at Chapelfield, High Point and Royal Manor elementary schools to prove that no one is ever too old, too wacky, too wild, or too shy to share a book with a child.
Traditionally, the event day begins with a "pep" assembly, a special presentation, or the sharing of a personal story by the principal about the importance of reading. Then, throughout the day, guest readers from all segments of the community, come and read a favorite children's book with individual classrooms.
High Point and Chapelfield students were reminded today to wear their colorful hats to school Friday, March 1
and be prepared
to celebrate. GJPS Superintendent Francis Scruci will stop by Royal Manor ES
(299 Empire Dr., Gahanna OH) at 10 a.m.
to read with a group of second-grade students.
