Six Lincoln Students Named 2012 National Merit Commended Scholars
On the heels of three Lincoln students being named 2012 National Merit Scholar Semi-finalists
last week, an additional six seniors have designated as Commended Scholars by the program. A letter of commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by Principal Dwight Carter to each of the following scholastically talented senior:

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2012 competition for National Merit Scholarships, each of the Commended Scholars placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition by taking the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
