MIDDLE SCHOOL WEST
Counselor: Ms. Cara Boettner Phone: (614) 478-5570
Each middle school has one guidance counselor whose primary job is to enroll students, to set up an appropriate schedule for students, and to insure a smooth transition into middle school. Additionally, the school counselor coordinates the standardized and achievement testing programs, collaborates with staff and parents in the 504 process, and works with the elementary schools and high school to promote a healthy transition to and from middle school for each student.
Middle school counselors also do what they can to assist students with academic social or emotional problems either at school or at home. Please be aware that each middle school has only one counselor to meet the needs of the students.
