Dear GJPS families,
As previously mentioned, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools is partnering with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to host a voluntary COVID-19 vaccine clinic in the GLHS auditorium for GJPS students ages 16-18.
The first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered during the school day on:
Friday, April 16
Tuesday, April 20
The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered during the school day on:
Friday, May 7
Tuesday, May 11
To secure a voluntary appointment:
At this time, GJPS is only receiving 400 vaccines for each session, which may not be enough to ensure there will be a vaccine for every student who would like to participate. Students will be registered and vaccinated based on the order that consent forms are received.
- Students must be 16-18 years of age and enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
- A consent form must be signed by a parent or guardian and turned in to the GLHS main office by Wednesday, April 14 at 3:30 p.m..
- The day before their vaccine appointment, students will be given a pass from the main office with their appointment time and date.
We are grateful to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for giving GJPS the opportunity to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic. This vaccine fact sheet will provide you with information about the Pfizer vaccine. If you have further questions, please contact (614) 471-7065 and they will direct your call.
Sincerely,
Steve Barrett
Superintendent Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools
