Four students from Gahanna Lincoln High School have been honored as National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. These semifinalists earned the highest PSAT/NMSQT scores, placing them among the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide.

This year's semifinalists are:

  • Emmerson Huth
  • Brandon Jiang
  • Haley McCarty
  • Vivienne Preci

As semifinalists, these students will now compete for the chance to become National Merit Finalists. To advance, they must submit a detailed application, which includes their academic achievements, participation in school and community activities, leadership roles, work experience, and honors. Emmerson, Brandon, Haley and Vivienne must also be endorsed by a high school official and write a personal essay.

The semifinalists have the opportunity to compete for more than 6,700 National Merit college scholarships worth nearly $24 million.

Congratulations and thank you for representing GLHS so well!
