GMSE Harmonies of History

Our 8th-grade students recently brought history to life through Harmonies of History, a special showcase highlighting the powerful connections between music and Black history.

Through research and curated playlists, students explored how music has shaped and reflected key moments in American history. Their projects examined historical songs, the artists behind them and the lasting impact of music on social movements.

During the event, students shared their insights and engaged in meaningful discussions about the role of music and the significance of Black artists in shaping our American history.
