SINGING AND MINDFULNESS
What do singing and mindfulness have in common? A ton!
Singing and mindfulness will teach us how to gain connection to ourselves and others, boost mental and emotional intelligence, improve focus, and gain confidence! Join us as we explore how we can use our voices to have fun, learn about ourselves, and learn how to build relationships with others. Each student will learn great centering techniques that they can carry with them throughout life - and they'll have fun and make friends in the process!

Transportation Information for Journey to Learning 2024
The 2024 summer programming will include opportunities for students in grades K-4 to refine their reading and math skills as they prepare to transition to the 2024-25 school year.
Our K-4 program is designed to provide intervention to students who need targeted support in either or both Reading and Math. For that reason, we are moving to a referral-based system of student registration for students in grades K-4.
Students will be referred based on academic performance criteria and needs. Families of eligible students will receive written communication regarding their student’s referral for summer services, along with the invitation to register.
Families that do not receive communication regarding their student's referral will not be eligible to register for K-4 summer programs.
For students currently in grades 6-8, registration is now open to all families, and spots will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Please see below.

Gahanna Lincoln High School Classes
REGISTRATION FOR 2024 IS NOW CLOSED.
We will continue to offer programming for Gahanna Lincoln High School students who need additional time for either or both credit recovery and to earn new credit towards their graduation requirements. Summer classes are only available to Gahanna-Jefferson Public School students.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Daily attendance is important. Each school day is equal to approximately one week of class during the regular school year. Courses in summer school follow the regular graded courses of study as approved by the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education. Classes have time requirements imposed by the Ohio Department of Education. All students must complete the 60 hours of classroom instruction. Students are expected to be able to attend all days of class. If an emergency or illness arises that means a student will miss one day of class, the student will work with the teacher to make up the time.
- Please do not enroll in summer school if vacations, camps, sports, or other commitments will conflict with attendance in summer school. Students will NOT be released early from class to attend sports camps, retreats, tournaments, or competitions. This is considered an UNEXCUSED activity. State law requires a minimum mandatory attendance.
- Students withdrawn due to excessive attendance problems or for disciplinary reasons will not receive credit for the class and will not receive a refund (where applicable).
- Enrollment in all classes is limited. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received.
- All classes must meet a minimum enrollment in order to be offered.
- All classes will be held at Lincoln High School.
- There is a fee for new credit classes regardless of whether or not the student qualifies for free/reduced lunch.
- For financial reasons, a federal food service program is not available during the summer.
